Everyone needs something to take them away from the day-to-day stresses, and for me, it is nature. I spend a lot of time in my garden and as much of the other time immersed in nature as I can

The artist
Richard Graham
Recently retired general dental practitioner; former BDA President and Patron, with a career spanning over 40 years that included ownership of two predominantly NHS practices and more than 30 years representing colleagues. Graham finds wellbeing outdoors — walking, fishing and gardening — observing details others might overlook. He recently authored A History of the Northern Ireland Branch of the British Dental Association, which has raised over £6,250 for the BDA Benevolent Fund.
