About the work
Both of these pieces incorporate the use of vibrant colours, which, for me, really lift my mood. , The piece titled Be Kind uses nature as my inspiration. The title Be Kind was a tribute to my nana, who was always kind and loved to be out in her garden. She loved butterflies and all the creatures that came to visit. The rainbow in this piece is a symbol of inclusion, diversity, and hope. All of these elements, for me, including the title, are components for mental wellbeing
The artist
Jenna Davies
Swansea-based artist and dentist whose creative practice centres on colour, curiosity and kindness. Qualified from Cardiff Dental School in 2007. She balances her week between clinical dentistry and conducting workshops, working with bold colours, layered textures and mixed materials. She also designs team-building workshops for dental professionals — relaxed environments where participants step away from clinical perfectionism and explore creativity together.
